Its been a choppy few months since August, still unpacking and setting up my new home, and I went on a nice cruise, then we had December celebrations and the Holidays, and now its Jan 14 I'm getting back into the swing of things again. You can join me on this journey if you want to check out The 67 Steps Click Here!
This session is about Respecting the Seasons, and letting Mother Nature be your teacher in life and business. Also details the need for patience in business and why you can't expect a baby still in it's incubator stage to be paying you a retirement income yet
I'm a huge believer of working and planning and measuring and reviewing and tweaking every 90 days of your project plan progress.
It has always worked well for me, and I highly recommend that you check out this session because it covers the seasons and the cycles and knowing where you are in each one and how to maintain your own best flow.
I'm just going to jump here direct to my answers in the video Q & A... you may get the gist of it all, but if it seems as clear as mud, well, you need to get on the program yourself so you can benefit from the training that is covered prior to the Q&A.Q : What was a winter in your life, and knowing what you know now what would you have done differently?
Winter... well I have it every year and enjoy the busy but cozy season (literally July+) ... and any bad theoretical 'winters' are usually the result of a painful betrayal of some kind. Nowadays this literal season is actually my digital Creative time... and I use it to sharpen tools, study, review, and I use it for my creative thinking stage... brainstorming.. planning experiments. Sometimes for licking wounds, recuperating and healing Q : What was a spring in your life, and knowing what you know now what would you have done differently?
Spring... had some very special theoretical Springs in my life... have re-invented myself personally and professionally over the decades as I've
grown and developed. In my literal Spring (Oct+) ... I Love starting each 90 cycle of activity... taking action on my creative brainstorming, putting in place/uploading/releasing my Creations from the previous creative winter cycle. Its very, very rare that I miss the chances offered in spring. I'm working instead of slowing down for Holidays in December Q : What was a summer in your life, and knowing what you know now what would you have done differently?
Summer (Jan+) is joyful work for me and in my literal Heatwave of Summer in Oz ... building on what is working, seeing growth... honing new skills, a celebration of the joy of accomplishment. Seeing the fruits of your labours begin to shape up... and trying to not be over-confident and counting chickens before they hatch. When things are going really really well, and having to put ego in back pocket and not believing your own publicity - LOL Have also experienced the frustration of everything buggering up, and trying to learn from lessons while shoring up reserves to begin all over again *sigh* End of calendar year for me literally... and at the end of this season I begin to reap my harvest, down my tools and begin to socialize like a human being again. Q : What was a fall in your life, and knowing what you know now what would you have done differently?
: Fall as a literal season (April+) is a time I look forward to, as I take a bit of a break if everything is going well as planned ... It used to be a very busy time for me in traditional business, still just the second quarter of the year, but with online digital businesses I find this is a good time to rest and socialise a bit in the mild weather ... (Rather than in my winter). A time to celebrate or to weep from lack of harvest/income. A time to learn what worked and what didn't... and still celebrate being alive and still here, whatever the results. Q : What season are you in now and what are you going to do differently now?
: Yes! Mother Nature is the meanest of teachers!!! She should be your teacher of last resort - lol!
I learned about Seasons in life and business from Jim Rohn, and have followed it for decades. I also learned from operating Govmt funded non-profits to operate on 3 year business plans, annual funding submissions, and Quarterly Reports... and if you didn't have measurable success every single Quarter, your funds were not released and you were out of business. Harsh lessons for some, but I thrived on it. Have used 90 plans ever since... see measurable results in 90 days... don't make rash decisions before then... but ACT and tweak based on the 90 day results. I'm entering Summer at the moment... products have been created and are being uploaded, ready for promotions to begin... I look forward to a fruitful harvest this year in Fall. If your curiosity has been piqued and you have a thirst to make this year the year you always wanted... well, check out how to do it here: The 67 Steps Click Here!
