Did You Know That Cancer May Be A Direct Result Of Not Finding Stress Relief?

The big C ... Cancer! It’s a dreaded word, that immediately sparks fear. Everyone has seen the effects that cancer can have on the body, either from viewing a television show or having an unfortunate family member come down with the disease.

Most people are unaware that one of the effects of stress is developing cancer.

The idea that certain foods cause cancer, is what most people believe is the one and only culprit.

That type of thinking can cause a person to completely overlook other possibilities.

So how can chronic stress affect your body in regards to cancer?

Well studies have shown that, it may weaken the person’s immune system anti-tumor defense.

There is also the chance that stress allows new tumor feeding blood vessels to form.

Tumor cells that are well fed can then break off and travel to different positions in the body.

Stress and the adrenaline it produces, can assist in this deadly movement.

It’s best if you remove on-going stress from your life.

Everyone has stress of some kind… it’s natural. When we were still hunter-gathers, we not only hunted for food… bigger predators hunted us.

So our ancestors had the stress of watching over their shoulders all the time for big predators.

It’s how we developed the fight or flight reflex.

Constant stress though, comes from situations in our lives.

Family fights, poor work conditions or even serious financial issues.

These elements of stress are working on us all the time, even when we sleep.

You will notice a pattern with most people who suffer from cancer.

They may be always be unhappy or suffering from stress.

People who are happy would be far less likely to develop cancer because they produce chemicals in the body which assist.

You probably have heard the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine.” It’s actually a medical truth.

When a person is constantly smiling and laughing, the facial muscles trigger hormones that are helpful to the body.

This is the opposite of the chemicals that are released into the body by people who are depressed or completely stressed out.

One way a person can combat depression or stress, is to watch comedy movies.

Imagine the feelings you get in your body from say…watching “Robin Williams-Live at the Met.”

Now Robin Williams may not be for everyone, however a lot of people laugh hysterically at his comedy styling.

By watching a comedy that is suited for you, the severe stress you feel is forgotten and your body is being flooded by good chemicals that are being released.

Wouldn’t you agree that this is much better than dealing with stress by watching a soap opera or heading down to the corner store to buy a pack of smokes or a case of beer?

Now these are just a few suggestions of dealing with stress and avoiding that monster called cancer.

There are many methods; you just need to take action on them.
