Jet Pack Buzz LightYear
With the popularity of Toy Story 3 this year, the appearance of the Jet Pack Buzz Lightyear model is hardly surprising.
If you haven't seen the movies, Buzz is the spaceman character who eventually helps Andy save the other toys from being incinerated.
Buzz Lightyear has been in Toy Story since the first one was released in 1995.
Some parents buying this toy for their children probably had Woody and Buzz toys themselves.
The story of Woody, Buzz and the gang was a huge hit not just when it was released 15 years ago but with the release of Toy Story 2 and now version 3.
In Toy Story 3, Andy who owns the toys has grown up and is off to college.
He puts his toys away to be stored in the attic but they end up in a nursery under the control of a dictator, Lotso Huggin bear.
The bear puts Buzz back into his original mode and he forgets about Woody and the other toys being his friends.
Instead he helps the bear hold them captive while also trying to woo Jessie the cowgirl with his Spanish singing.
The Jet Pack Buzz Lightyear doll resembles the Buzz on TV really closely and this alone would make him a huge hit.
But he speaks over 60 different phrases with the same voice as the film.
He has two different modes one being toy mode and the second Space Ranger.
In toy mode he sounds just like any other toy that talks but when you switch him to Space Ranger mode he comes alive.
He will even complain to you if you mishandle him.
He has space wings that expand with blinking lights on each one, one red and one green and they take turns blinking.
Of course being Buzz he has his star command flip up communication on his arm.
This flips up and make a sound. He also has his pulsating laser light weapon.
This toy is so like the film version that it is difficult to find criticism.
Some people will miss the karate chop action that he does in the film.
He doesn't dance the flamenco either.
In Toy Story 3 Buzz was trying to dazzle Jessie with his dancing skills but he wasn't much good at it!
If your child loves Toy Story 3, it is worth getting one and two on DVD so that they can enjoy the whole series.
Adults and children alike love the story.
There are other characters on sale from the film including Woody, Jessie and Lotso Huggin bear so you can add to your collection.
There is no doubt about it, Jetpack Buzz Lightyear will be dominating the best sellers list in toys this year.
