Juice More, Lose Weight: A Guide to Juicing for Weight Loss

Have you tried before to lose weight, only to feel disappointed in yourself when it didn't work? Diets are hard, primarily because you can't always eat the foods that you want to eat. As a result, it is easy to "slip" and fall off the dieting wagon. The more slips you have, the harder it becomes to stick to your diet over time.

Many people are finding success, however, through juicing. Juicing for weight loss is fun; there are a lot of combinations available, so you can experiment and figure out what you like best. If you have a sweet tooth, you simply add a few fruits to your concoction and you are good to go. If it is vegetables you crave, you can drink purely vegetable juices. In addition, juicing is good for you. Your skin will improve and your entire body goes through a detoxification process, helping you to feel your best day in and day out.

Getting Started

The only thing you really need in order to begin juicing for weight loss is a juicer. That can be a little more complicated than it sounds, however, because there are a number of juicers on the market and many of them are quite good. Generally, juicers are divided into two different types: centrifugal and masticating. Typically, masticating juicers tend to be of a higher quality and a little better suited for weight loss. The juice they produce is often more nutritious as well.

When buying a juicer, it is also important to take a few other points into consideration. Are you juicing for just yourself or for others as well? If you are juicing for the entire family, you may want to look into a model that has a bit more power. Are you concerned about noise? If so, you probably want to stay away from centrifugal juicers. Finally, how much time do you have to juice? If you are short on time, a centrifugal juicer may be right for you.

Juicing Recipes

Part of the fun of juicing is finding new combinations that you enjoy. While oranges, carrots and apples are commonly used, you should branch out in order to lose the most weight and get the most nutrients from your juices. Almost any food that is classified as a vegetable or a fruit can be juiced. When you head to the store, pick out a variety of colors; some possibilities are spinach, pears, broccoli, and bell peppers. While the Internet is certainly a great resource and will help you find enjoyable recipes, there is nothing like experimenting and coming up with juices that you and the entire family can enjoy.

Unlike other diets that require you to purchase specific foods, juicing for weight loss is easy and relatively inexpensive. It is also good for you and will not put your body at risk. As with any diet, however, it is important to consult your doctor prior to getting started. Once you do, you won't regret taking the steps necessary to better your health.
