Where is the Source of Your Motivation?Did you like this free daily motivation blog post?
Learning success motivation requires that you learn about the source of your self motivation.
Do you often sit and contemplate the work that needs to be done but just lack the motivation to do it?
Trust me you are not alone, it can be incredibly difficult to find motivation when you just aren’t feeling motivated.
However, if you want to be successful then you really need to find some motivation.
People are all different and so we are motivated by different things, so I can’t give you one answer for where you can find your motivation. You need to know where YOU find YOUR motivation.
Here are some common sources of motivation:
1. Visualize the end result.
One source that seems to be a common motivational source is to visualize the end result when you complete the task and reach your goal.
What is your goal and what feeling do you think you will have when you reach it?
If your goal is to lose five pounds within a week, imagine the satisfaction and joy you will feel at the end of the week if you achieve that goal.
Think about this satisfying feeling and make that your motivation.
Even when you begin to lose motivation with a task you need to keep focusing on the end result, never lose sight of your final goal.
You need to believe in yourself and know that it is possible for you to achieve that goal.
If you believe in yourself then you will find the motivation to keep going.
2. Have a plan.
Sometimes people lose motivation because they are disorganized and the path to reaching the final goal is not clear.
It is one thing to have a goal to work toward but that goal isn’t much good without a plan to reach it.
The first step that you should take toward reaching your goal is to plan how you will do it.
When you have a plan and are prepared to start working toward your goal then you will find it much easier to find and maintain the motivation to reach that goal.
3. Change your environment.
Sometimes you can become stuck in a rut and a simple change of environment can lift your spirits.
You don’t have to move house or anything drastic, it can be something as simple as moving the furniture around, hanging a new picture on the wall or buying a new lamp.
Just a small change can help you to get out of your rut and find motivation.
4. Surround yourself with positive people.
If you are a negative thinker or have friends and family that are negative thinkers, then being in this negative state of mind will give little motivation for anything.
If you surround yourself with positive people then their positive state will rub off on you. A positive person is more likely to be a motivated person and a successful person.
5. Get some exercise.
Something as simple as going for a 20 minute walk is enough to refresh and re-energize you and get you motivated again.
Just to get away from the task at hand and take a break can do wonders. Exercising also stimulates your body and mind which can also stimulate motivation.
6. Help someone else.
You will be amazed at how helping someone else can help to find motivation within yourself.
When people appreciate your help and look up to you for inspiration then this will help you to become more energized and motivated.
Motivation can come from many different sources and what works for one person might not work for another.
Try some of the above tips and hopefully you will gain motivation from some of them.
The most important factor is that you believe in yourself, believe that you can do it and seek that final goal – use that and motivation should come easily.
