One Night Away Might Help

When you consider relationships, especially long-term relationships, you have to admit that they seem to have ups and downs, highs and lows. Some are smoother flowing than others but none are without some deviations from the easy and straight road that we would like to keep it on.

In reality there is little that anyone can do to prevent problems or issues from coming up. Stressful events are simply part of life. We experience illnesses, financial hardships, disappointments; I could go on but I am sure that you get the point. What I am saying is that even if we are in an ideal relationship we still have to contend with the realities of life. But I will pass along a tidbit of information, our problems do not come from life events, instead they result from our reaction to those events.

But that of course is over-simplifying things. It sounds good to say that if you react appropriately you will not have any problems but we all know that we sometimes react inappropriately. After all, we are only human and life does occasionally throw a curve ball at us!

The problem is that those curve balls have a direct impact on us and often on our relationships. We get so upset and stressed out that we forget that our partner is our support person. We overlook his or her needs. We allow the problem to become the center of our attention.

And worse than allowing the curve balls to take center stage is allowing the little problems to have all our focus. Life can be hard and if we do not put our relationship at the center of our life it can get lost in the shuffle and chaos.

Although there are lots of ways to keep your relationship fresh and alive one suggestion is a night away. Yes, I am referring to a single night. One night is not a big expense nor is it going to take too much focus away from the other things in your life.

But what it will do is give you and your spouse time to enjoy one another without the distractions of the daily grind. You may not feel the pressure as much as your partner does, or it could be the other way around. The point is that you are in this together and you both need time to escape momentarily.

If you do not find escapism together one of you might find it alone. That could be the beginning to lots of problems. Work on problems and solutions together. Plan one night away from home for just the two of you. Make that night memorable. Be romantic and be friends. And if possible plan one night away regularly. This will help keep your relationship strong.

You are a life Saver!!

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
