Pampering yourself on a Budget

Everyone deserves a bit of pampering once in a while.

When you are on a budget, it can seem like taking care of yourself is the last thing that there will be funds for. But, don’t lose heart.

You can still pamper yourself even when you are trying to save money.

Taking time out for oneself is not only therapeutic, but necessary.

Thinking about finances and pinching pennies all day can cause a person to crack.

Besides, a little pat on the back is okay when you are working to save your family some money.

And, that doesn’t just go for you. The entire family can take part.

What does pampering mean to you? Define that first.

For you, it could mean lighting candles and taking a long bubble bath.

For another, it could be a massage with soothing music.

Now that you’ve identified your pampering goals, you can start to make them come true.

Here’s our help for you in that department.

Pampering on Less

1. Look for deals – Sites like LivingSocial.com offers area specific deals on everything from dancing lessons to spa treatments.

Want to take advantage of a one hour massage at a local spa?

You could get it for fifty percent or more discount if you find the right deal.

Now, it’s more affordable without breaking the bank.

2. Pampering at home – You can set up your own spa day at home. It’s easy.

Visit your local dollar store for things like scented candles, inflatable head pillow, loofah sponges, facial masks and instrumental music CDs.

Invest in a foot spa to pamper the tired feet of everyone in the home.

3. Take turns giving massages – This works well for spouses who need a little time being the focus of attention.

Practice giving each other body massages once a month. You can extend that to foot and even head massages.

4. Use homemade pampering remedies – Use oatmeal as a mud mask or mayonnaise as a hair conditioning treatment.

Epsom salts can be used in a foot spa to soften the feet. Baby oil can be used for massages.

5. Create a pampering kit – If you like to listen to music, put together a kit of favorite CDs and a pair of noise-canceling headphones.

For a spa day, put all of your goodies in one kit that can be transferred from one place to the other.

You can even pamper yourself on vacation or anytime you need a break.

It’s easier when everything is right at hand.

6. Buy in bulk – Buy candles for all seasons of the year if you change scents that regularly.

You will save money and have a variety of options when you need to feel special.

Are you in need of a relaxation day?

Plan now and save money each time you need a quiet moment.

You are a life Saver!!

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
