Achieve Your Goals Faster and Easier with an Effective Vision Board

You’ve probably heard of vision boards, but you’ve probably never made or used one. A vision board is essentially a large poster that you construct to help you achieve your goals. It contains pictures that represent your goals.

For example, if you dream of climbing Mount Everest, you might include photos of the mountain, your hiking boots, Sherpa, and famous mountain climbers.

It might sound like silly new-age nonsense, but a vision board can be useful!

Consider what a vision board does for you:

• It forces you to decide on your goals.
• It requires you to review your goals daily.
• It sensitizes you to opportunities that aid in the achievement of your goals.

However, it does not magically make the objects of your desire appear in your life without any work on your part. You’ll still have to work, but a vision board can be invaluable.

Use these strategies to create and use an effective vision board:

1. Decide what you want to be, do, and have. This is one of the primary reasons that vision boards can be so effective. They require you to think about what you want and to make a few choices.

2. Find visual images that represent what you want to be, do, and have. You can look online or in magazines. What’s important is that you have the same feeling when you look at the photo as you do when you think about that thing. The sensations should match.

3. Arrange your vision board in a way that pleases you. You can be orderly or use more of a collage style. Each objective can have its own board, or everything can be combined on a single board. There are no rules. Follow your instincts and allow your creativity to flow.

4. Hang your vision board where you’ll see it frequently. A vision board sitting in the closet isn’t of much use. Consider your daily activities and put your vision board where you’ll see it most frequently.

5. Take a photo of your vision board. Use your phone and take a photo. That way, you’ll have it wherever you go. You can always pull out your phone and view your board.

6. Start and end your day with your vision board. At the very least, take a long look at your vision board when you first wake up and when you go to bed. You might need to rely on a photo if your vision board isn’t in your home.

7. Use a process to view your vision board. Think about each goal you have and look at the photos that represent those goals. Allow yourself to feel excited about achieving that goal. Feel yourself on top of the mountain, losing 50 pounds, or driving that BMW.

8. Be persistent. Vision boards don’t work overnight, but they do work. They remind you of your goals and keep them at the forefront of your mind. They allow you to experience positive feelings with regards to achieving your goals. Keep at it.

9. Take action. Avoid the belief that your dream car will suddenly appear in your garage one morning. You still have the responsibility to take action. Using your vision board will allow you to notice more opportunities. Take advantage of them.

Start your first vision board today and use it daily. There’s nothing to lose. Making a vision board can be fun. If you have any children in your life, they’d love to help! A vision board can be more powerful than you think.

Success and the Law of Cause and Effect

The idea of cause and effect has been touted by the Buddha and scientists alike. The idea is simple: actions have effects, and effects are the result of actions.

For example, saving money leads to a certain effect. Spending money has a different set of effects.

This simple idea isn’t challenging to understand, but it’s easy to underestimate the power it holds. The right action will bring the results you desire.

Use the law of cause and effect to your advantage:

1. Your results are the product of your actions. This is good news. This means you have responsibility for the results you’re creating in your life. Everything that’s happened, good or bad, is largely your own doing. You’re a powerful creature with the power to shape your environment and experience.

2. You can create new results by changing your actions. If you’re displeased with your results, you can change them by taking a new course of action. The results you desire only require taking the right actions. It’s only necessary to correctly identify those actions and then to have the courage to do them.

3. Review your past results. Look at the best and worst times of your life. Identify the actions that led to those good and bad results. Whether it was winning a race, dealing with an awful relationship, or breaking your leg, think about your contribution to those situations. What was your part in creating those results?

4. It’s not personal. The law of cause and effect is based on the idea that your actions lead to your results. There’s not a mystical force working for you or against you. The universe doesn’t play favorites.

5. Identify the actions that will lead the effect you desire. If you want to lose weight, what do you need to do? What do you need to avoid doing? Exercising daily has a certain effect. Eating a bowl of ice cream before bed also has an effect. What “cause” do you need to perform to get the effect you want?

6. Take massive action. Action leads to results. The only way to get great results is to take a lot of action. Figure out what the most important actions are and get busy. You’ll find that the most successful people find a way to do what they need to do to get the results they desire.

7. Avoid giving up. If your actions are the cause that lead to a desired effect, it doesn’t make sense to ever give up. You might need to find a different action to take, but action is the answer to getting what you want. Learn to persevere even when things aren’t going your way.

Use the law of cause and effect to create the life you desire. If you’re not getting the results you want in life, you’re not taking the right actions. It’s that simple.

Take the best course of action you can determine and note the results. Keep adjusting your actions until the results please you. There’s no way to fail f you don’t quit.

The Best Revenge is Enjoying Your Life

It seems to be part of human nature to want revenge. We like the idea of justice. Whether we suffered at the hands of a cruel and incompetent boss, or were treated badly and dumped by a partner, we want our pound of flesh.

This approach is flawed for several reasons:

• You’re spending your time on someone that doesn’t care about you.

• You can create serious challenges for yourself if you take things too far.

• You let them off the hook. Once you strike back, they have the luxury of “knowing” they were right to mistreat you.

Though it seems less exciting than publicly humiliating your ex or building a car bomb, living a great life is actually an effective way to get revenge.

Try these techniques to get revenge by living the best life you can:

1. Increase your income. One great way to enhance your life is to increase your income. Having additional financial resources gives you more choices and freedom in life. If you want to make someone jealous of your life, have a lot of freedom to live as you choose.

2. Find a more enjoyable way of earning money. You spend a lot of time at your job. There are few better ways to enhance your life than finding a job that you love and earning more money, too! When you can enjoy your workdays, you’re doing something that few people can claim.

3. Enhance your health and fitness. There’s a reason why so many men and women manage to finally lose weight after going through a break-up. It’s a great thing to do for yourself. It also feels good to show your ex what they’re missing out on.

4. Find a new relationship or build on the one you already have. Good relationships make life more interesting, enjoyable, and meaningful. Most people neglect their relationships. You can do a lot to enhance your life by giving your relationships more care and attention.

5. Build your social circle. Increasing the size and quality of your social circle is a wonderful way to take your life to the next level. Your nemesis will cringe at your new level of popularity.

6. Become more influential. Become a more important person. This can be at work, socially, online, or in your community. How can you become a more powerful person in the world? Even a small improvement in this area is noticeable to others.

7. Declutter your life. One of the things that can hold you back is all the clutter in your life. It’s not just the extra items that you own. It’s the low-quality people, obligations, and worries, too. Eliminate all the mediocrity from your life, and your life will blossom.

8. Find an activity that’s meaningful to you. A life with more meaning is more fulfilling on a personal level. When you’re doing something that’s meaningful to you, you have a glow that other people can’t resist.
