Home Gym Workouts For Busy Women

Home gym workouts for busy women don't have to be complicated. Setting up a gym with the basic equipment and a routine are really all that is needed.

Women should find a program that best suits them. Keep in mind what your goals are when you begin setting up your home gym.

Are you looking to lose weight or just to tone up?

Do you want variety in your routine or are you happy using or doing the same fitness exercises everyday?

A home gym workout can be effective, even for busy women.

Finding the right exercises to fit into a quick workout means setting up a routine with some basic equipment.

This includes resistance tubes, elastic bands, a stability ball. A door chin-up bar and a bench are optional.

Here are a few ideas for a home gym workout for busy women.

For a leg workout, begin with squats. These target your thighs.

Lunges also target thighs as well as the inner thigh.

Heel raises target calf muscles.

Step-ups target thighs and inner thighs.

Make them more challenging by using a stool or stair-step.

For a quick upper body workout, begin by working your core muscles.

Crunches and situps lying on the floor or using the stability ball.

Bridges also work the core muscles.

For shoulders and arms and chest, regular floor pushups are a quick exercise.

Stability ball pushups are more of a challenge.

For the back, try chin ups using the chin-up bar.

If this is too difficult use the resistance tubes as a pull-down for the shoulder-back muscles. Make sure the tube is securely fastened at the top of the door.

Rowing movements using the tubes or bands fastened around a door knob or other sturdy object.

These exercises are effective for training at home for a quick routine.

Perform each set of exercises in 10 repetitions. Repeat each set 2 to 5 times to begin seeing results.

Remember the key to working your muscles is to be systematic.

You muscles need to work harder over time so you will want to begin adding more weight or stronger resistance bands.

Add new or different exercises to the routine when your workout starts to become too easy.

Your muscles don't distinguish between dumbbells, resistance tubes or fancy equipment.

All equipment, even body weight moves, essentially provide resistance and tension on your muscles as they grow.

So if you don't have time to run to the gym, there are many effective home gym workouts for busy women to follow.

You will be getting a good work out for your muscles and burning calories with any exercise you do.

Make your home gym wall decor look like a fully equipped pro Gym!

These wall decals and posters are a clever way to trick your eyes and convince yourself that you are at your local commercial gym, and motivate you to keep pushing harder than ever.

These are such a good idea for rooms that are small, especially if you only have a rather poky old basement home gym that you want to decorate to make it feel a bit more spacious and more like the commercial gym you would be used to attending.

As you can see from the pictures below you can choose from a variety of 'gym' decor styles, and you can pick the kinds of equipment that you want to 'pretend' your own gym has in it.

If you are really clever with the placement of these huge transfers on your wall you will be able to create a very effective illusion of being in a much larger gym area, surrounded by your favorite workout equipment!

Pick from these incredible wall decor ideas, and decide how many of your walls you want to look like a big gym:
