How to Start Decluttering Your Wardrobe

If you are like a lot of people, then your wardrobe is a giant mess. It’s understandable, people live busy lives and don’t have the time to do things like keep the garage organized or their wardrobe organized as perfectly they might want to.

However, if you have finally grown sick of being unable to find anything in your wardrobe, then this article is for you. You are going to see a quick walkthrough of how to start decluttering your wardrobe.

Set Aside Some Time

Decluttering your wardrobe is not going to be quick (especially if it’s really bad), so it’s important to set aside some time to do it properly. You don’t want to rush decluttering your wardrobe, otherwise, you are just going to have to do it again later.

It can be hard to have to set aside time to do chores, especially if you had something more enjoyable planned, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Completely Empty Your Wardrobe

Some may think that you should take it slow when it comes to decluttering a wardrobe. That you should go one section a time. However, not only does that tend to take more time, but it can also result in you giving up halfway through.

We think that the far better option is to treat the wardrobe like a band-aid, instead of going slow, rip it all out in one quick motion. This forces you to actually fix the entire wardrobe.

Separate The Clothes

Separate your clothes into 3 different piles. One pile will be dedicated to clothes that you are 100% going to keep. They may hold sentimental value, or they may still be clothes that you intend to wear.

The 2nd pile should be clothes that you are not keeping because they don’t fit or are damaged.

Finally, there is the 3rd pile, which is clothes that you are not sure about keeping (try to keep this pile as small as possible, otherwise you are just giving yourself more work).

Get Rid of the Clothes

Start by getting rid of your 2nd pile of clothes. Throw them into the garbage, put them into boxes, or do whatever you want to do with them.

Put Back the Rest of the Clothes

If you followed the previous steps, you should now have a small pile of clothes that should fit nicely and easily into your wardrobe. That wasn’t so hard, was it?

You are a life Saver!!

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
