How to Stop the Dog Meat Industry in Asia - Be The Difference - TheCompassionProject

Dogs and Cats are FRIENDS not FOOD! Print and hand out this flyer!

OK... we now know about the horrors of the dog and cat meat industry - and the Chinese Yulin and the Korean Boknal 'festivals' - and we want to DO SOMETHING to help stop the whole abomination.

The dog and cat meat trade is world wide. It is not just a 10 day festival in China once a year.

It is an Asia wide cuisine based on torturing the dogs as much as possible for as long as possible to make the meat as tender and potent as possible.

(Yes, the simple minded sick twists who eat this believe prolonged agony of the dog or cat makes the meat better to eat, keeps them cooler in summer and improves male virility)

Here is a link to a gentle video which tells the story of Marc, a bit of background info about the horror trade and his vision to end it. YT video about Marc, the Festivals and his work

WE CAN BE THE DIFFERENCE WE WANT TO SEE...!

We can't all get on a plane and do what Marc Ching does when he travels around Asia, or work every day at the coalface in South Korea like Nami Kim does, but WE CAN help raise awareness, and fund-raise as much as possible to help those in the field to rescue dogs, to buy up and close down the slaughterhouses, and to educate kids about compassion to BREAK THE CYCLE once and for all.

The animals that Marc rescued that survived the torture go to USA with him for adoption... that is expensive and traumatic, so local trustworthy dog shelters in China for his rescues would be a good addition to the work long term.

I also sponsor Nami Kim every month to help house and feed the hundreds of rescue dogs in her care in South Korea.

She also ships dogs to Europe and Canada/USA for adoption in homes that are safe and far away from Korea.

I also believe Marc Ching has a new venture also involving the operator of a children's orphanage, to help create a local dog shelter in China for the animals he rescues from the slaughterhouses, and the caring of these rescued animals will help to teach these kids that what has gone on in the past does NOT have to continue any more... time for a change.

And activists like EK are also setting up local dog shelters in South Korea.

I hate the arseholes in Asia who are committing the horror and atrocities to animals for profit... but my hate achieves nothing good. It is just a waste of tears and energy!

So instead I'm being useful and putting my money where my mouth is and making donations to them, while also raising awareness of the good work that is BEING DONE by these LOCAL people fighting at the coalface, putting their lives and wellbeing at risk from the meat traders.

They have sacrificed so much for the successes they have had so far in their countries, they need our financial support to care for the animals they rescue!

Will you join me in helping stop this torture for meat? Will you help to save one dog and cat at a time?

BE THE CHANGE... you can do it, and I promise you will feel so much better about yourself and your self worth.

LEARN MORE at the sites and FaceBook pages below, and make a donation and spread the word.

(1) Marc has traveled around Asia to fight for animal welfare and closed 6 Dog/cat slaughterhouses this year!

(2) And Nami Kim has bought and closed a couple of slaughterhouses and Korean dog farms. She is incredible... a retired teacher, a senior dynamo working much on her own!

Large or small, every donation helps, and every single dog's life counts... BE THE CHANGE

(3) And although eating dog and cat meat is illegal nowadays in Thailand, it unfortunately still goes on in backyard operations, killing street dogs and family pets.

Soi Dogs are a wonderful organisation that helps all animals in distress in Thailand.

Support their fight for Dogs and Cats in Thailand to stop the illegal meat trade:

Soi Dog in Thailand (they have also helped Nami Kim to make government contacts and helped fund her emergency rescues in Sth Korea)

(4) EK from Free Korean Dogs is also setting up a shelter in Korea, since its hard to get locals to adopt "Meat Dogs" as family pets.

EK is great at raising awareness and is creating a documentary, as well as helping to ship dogs to safe countries to be adopted.

=============================================

These are the organizations I'm donating to for the dog and cat meat trade, as well as World Animal Protection and Animals Australia Lynn White, for their work in fighting other animal abuse causes.

I am setting up some digital products to sell for my fundraising, like colouring in books, greeting cards, Private Label Rights content for bloggers and webmasters, and also getting out my crafting materials to make products to sell on eBay and at local markets.

My goal is to also help set up children's education clubs, to help teach kindness and compassion... so over time you will see this site developing its own mini-site pages for a range of causes.

These are being set up over the next few days so I want you to keep your eyes out for them in the future, or contact me if you think you can help with these campaigns in any way.

www.KindnessHub.net = kids education resources & helping to set up Kindness clubs worldwide. WAP used to have some great Kindness Clubs in African nations, I hope they will set them up again.

www.CompassionHub.net = A site to encourage adults to become more compassionate, and BE THE CHANGE toward a better, kinder world for us all.
In here I will feature all the campaigns I am active in... dog and cat meat trade... greyhound racing ... vegetarian awareness toward people eating less meat and making more ethical choices in their diet.

www.ColourMeKind.com = I'm looking to create a range of colouring books, journals, posters and calendars to sell for fundraising.

www.BanAustralianLivestockExport.com = This speaks for itself. Years ago I started a website protesting the needless horror of shipping our beautiful livestock overseas, to face slaughter methods that would never be condoned in Australia. It has to be stopped, simple as that, and it WILL BE STOPPED.

A good passionate post which puts your point of view across, in situations like this I always ask myself the question, what right do I have to interfere in the culture and traditions of other countries, just because I disagree with what they're doing, and how would I feel if someone from those countries started to tell me how to live my life.

I don't agree with what they do and am very much an animal lover, but the world is a rich tapestry and all the better for it, each to there own, just my view and I commend your passion.

I respect your right to your views on this Mike, but I definitely do not agree with them.

Best to you in your endeavours.

How Nasty This Is Happening
by: Bonnie Gean

Helene,

This problem obviously has been an ongoing issue, but it goes to show you how much I watch television or read the news because I was completely blind to what's been going on in the world.

What a shame that this behavior goes on, but at least there are voices in the world telling us about it.... and that there are people in the world also willing to DO SOMETHING about it.

I'll need to read more about this and on the work that Marc is doing. Bless him and YOU for caring, but more importantly DOING something about it.

My blessings to you!

Thank you Bonnie for caring and commenting!

I'm saddened by how many people just "don't want to deal with it" to the point of just pretending it doesn't go on, despite knowing the truth.

We are not all animal warriors, we can't all rush over and rescue, but we can all donate a few dollars... and in the Asian economies affected by dog meat trade, a few dollars goes a looooong way to help stop this torturous trade.

There are at least three local organizations I donate to for Korean and China dog rescues, as well as Humane Society International - HSI, so anyone preferring to contribute to an international organization can send a few dollars to HSI toward their campaigns, and they actively support the local groups by accepting rescue dogs to home them etc. as well, so it all helps.

This is something that can be changed for good. Like the Japanese turning off eating whale meat, and pretty much destroying that meat trade, we can do the same here for dog meat around the world.

IT CAN BE DONE.

There is so much that you can do to help... even if its just sharing what you now know on FaceBook to all your friends.

This is something we can do to help the locals in these Asian countries that are a minority and fighting so hard to change old ways in developing countries.

They are so brave... especially in China and Korea! They face dangers every day to rescue animals from abuse.

Help them to help themselves create a better kinder world.
