Well, its finally that time of year again here in Australia, when the fruit is ripe and tasty and the Summer heat makes fresh raw fruit and vegetables the most desirable food on the menu!

We have just come out of a week of 47C / 110F heatwave,where no one has any appetite, and the kitchen is just a hellhole that you can't cook in.

So naturally I stocked up on a huge pile of fresh ripe fruit, all juicy and tantalizing, just waiting for me to rip into them - woo hoo!

This morning I started the day with a platter of fruit, and made sure I had a huge serve of salad with dinner.

So tonight I have pulled out my favourite raw food recipes and daily meal planners. (My book has this information, as well as the link to a pdf download for the meal planner that you can printout as often as you need it)

I have set myself a massive goal for weight loss this summer (I'm not telling you how much yet!), because of my rheumatoid arthritis spiraling after 20 years - if I want to be able to walk again without pain in my joints I'm going to have to drop all that weight I put on because of my dodgy thyroid.

I've already lost 9 kilos from the first time I did the raw food diet, just for my health and out of curiosity, so up til now any weight loss was just a nice side effect of eating raw.

But this year I am going gangbusters to actually lose weight, so wish me luck, and keep an eye out on this page, as I'll be posting my updates here over the next 90 days of my progress.
