Making a Fairy Planter Pot

Make your own fairy planter pot this spring has come. Little girls dream about fairies and magical creatures, help them by inviting the woodland creatures into your garden.

It’s time to for your child to pick her very first Fairy planter pot. If you are creating your very own fairy garden try getting a pot that fits your theme.

There are all types of pots that have fairies attached to them and some look just like a fairy. I just bought a clay pot that has some green vines painted all around the planter pot that has a light purple fairy attached to it.

Fairies love to be around butterflies. In fact, some say fairies even transform into butterflies. Cute, pretty, or shiny items seem to be what attract them to a garden. Find a planter pot that you think they will like. If a fairy loves her pot, she will continue to come back.

Remember to make her visit a welcoming one, nothing that will frighten her off. Sorry boys, but that monster mask is not going to work and neither are the broken G.I. Joe.

You may want to purchase a small garden fairy figurine to stand guard. This will tell the fairies that it is safe to come in.

Your planter pot is complete and your garden is all set up. Your daughter is probably going to want to bring out her own miniature doll furniture so the little fairy will have something to eat with and sit on. I’d suggest you let her do this, after all it is her Fairy Garden.

Boys will probably not want to make a fairy garden, however you might be able to convince them to help the woodland elves by building little log cabins out of sticks, rocks, leaves and grass. We all know they won’t get into anything girly, but they may just want to make a cabin for the “male” fairies.

Finally, now that you have your Fairy buildings or villages complete, it’s time to actually add the plants that go around the Fairy Planter Pot. You can choose plants that match the fairy figurine you bought or your favorite colors. You can add other planted flowers or you can have it simply in the center of your garden all by itself.

I believe that growing Morning Glories and Ivy around them make them stunning. The Morning Glory will wrap itself around the pot and make it into a Fairy’s secret home.

If you still aren’t sure what to pick out fairies love being around Sage, Lavender, Violet and many other flowers. Now, go have some fun with your kids planting flowers around the fairy planter pot you bought.

All you need to do now is watch around the planter pot for fairy sightings. It doesn’t matter if you believe or not, your child will see all the magic a garden has as they watch them grow. You don’t want to miss that. Wait, is that a fairy I see checking out your garden?
