Where to put a Hanging Planter

You’ve just been given a hanging planter. But where do you put it? A hanging plant is a great welcoming to the neighborhood gift and it gives the person something that they can use. With a planter you can easily add life and color to any area of your house. It is up to you where you place it and when.

Instead of just standing in one place holding the planter, start thinking about where it is you want to put this. I doubt you want to hold onto this forever. Decorating can be a lot of fun inside or outside your home. They come in all different sizes and shapes and are made from basically anything you can think of.

You get to decorate your house, even in the smallest place you can add a bit more room with a hanging planter. Since they hang above you there really isn’t anywhere it can’t go, except if there is already a plant there. Imagine having a desk sitting by a window. You can add excitement to those long hours staring into space. Try placing a basket made of wicker just under the tree outside your window. You‘ll probably want to try growing a miniature rose bush, they are colorful and it will look neat. Try using a basket with moss, to resemble that of a bird’s nest, who knows you might even get birds flying by to check it out.

If there is no tree in your yard, use a few brackets and hang it outside your window on the porch. Add some red and yellow flowers to your hanging planter and attract a ton of butterfly and maybe even a hummingbird or two.

I’m currently watching a hummingbird suck nectar out of a flower that hangs from my hanging planter outside my window. The hanger on a bracket connected to the house. You can make a plain porch into something very attractive by adding a couple of hanging planters.

A hanging planter keeps small hands and animals out of reach, we all know that they tend to dig up anything that has dirt in it. Placing a planter up in the air also makes it a big harder for cats to try to lay in. A plant on the ground makes a great place for a toddler to dig up dirt or a cat to use as a litter box.

Instead of using the plastic chain you may want to choose the wrought iron one. A wrought iron chain can add a bit of security for you when placing a hanging planter up. These tend not to break as easily as plastic do.

A hanging planter requires more watering then you’d normally have to give it. Check the soil every couple of days to see if your plant needs some water.

You can change the amount of sunlight you give a plant by switching them with others. Buy yourself a hanging planter and start redesigning your home.
