Chronic Fatigue Is NOT Normal!
Feeling tired all the time can prevent you from performing well at work, spending enough quality time with your family or simply just feeling like yourself.
If you’re wondering why you’re always feeling tired, there could be a medical explanation for it.
There are various reasons that you might be feeling tired a lot or all of the time, so let’s consider some of the most common.
Not enough sleep
This might seem like an obvious one, but you might just be feeling tired all the time because you never really get enough sleep.
Even if you have a week of great sleep, this won’t compensate for several weeks of poor sleep.
Talk to your doctor about sleeping pills or herbal remedies that can help you to fall asleep easier and get a better night’s sleep.
Anaemia
If you suffer from anaemia, you will find yourself feeling tired a lot more than most people.
If you feel tired without even lacking sleep, it could be time to visit your doctor.
Blood tests are able to show whether you have anaemia and are lacking iron in your body.
It’s easy to get the nutrients that you need either by taking iron pills or liquid iron.
Being Always Tired is NOT Natural!
Chronic fatigue is a symptom of an illness in your system. You need to check it out and take action
Underactive thyroid
Having an underactive thyroid can come with various unpleasant effects, not least of all feeling tired a lot of the time.
You may also experience dry skin, aching joints and muscles, and could struggle to lose weight.
It is a common condition which affects many people around the world, but your thyroid can be improved by taking the hormone thyroxine.
Like iron deficiency anaemia, underactive thyroid can be detected through blood tests.
Chronic fatigue syndrome
This is a condition which can last several months or even longer.
Many people who have this condition struggle to understand why they are so tired, since it is difficult to detect using methods such as blood tests.
Chronic fatigue syndrome normally comes with other symptoms, such as aching joints and headaches.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
can be as disabling as Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, congestive Heart failure and similar chronic conditions.
Depression
While many people are quick to thinking of depression as a solely mental health condition, it can affect people physically too.
Depression can drain your body of its energy, making you feel like you want to fall asleep or just lie down and refrain from any activity for a while.
Aside from depression itself making you feel more tired, it could also mean that you sleep late a lot of the time or wake up earlier than intended.
