Calming Your Mind Through Meditation

It is not going to be easy to work with a troubled mind. You may be working on a dilemma or a big project; things like this call for proper organization and you cannot achieve that with a troubled mind.

To be triumphant in your conquest you will need to be focused; to be able to make the right decisions, you need to be concentrated; and to give yourself the power to rule over situations, you need to be calm.

If you are overcome by a problem, and you do not know what to do, it is not easy to make decisions. You, therefore, need to find a way to effectively calm your mind.

Proper meditation can channel the right concentration that will help you achieve a calmer mind and attitude. Here are some techniques that you can try, when you are meditating:

Make sure that you subject yourself to a comfortable condition and position when you want to meditate. Sit with your legs crossed, but if you feel this is not comfortable enough, take a chair and sit.

Make sure that your feet is placed firmly on the ground and make sure that you are able to sit down with your back straight. This will allow you to meditate longer.
Keep your eyes closed at all times.

Breathe deeply; breathing into your nose and breathing out from your mouth. Breathing will help relax your body and your mind.

Just try to breathe deeply and in steady breaths. Your goal is to be able to achieve total surrender. Your mind should surrender all its anxious thoughts and your body should let go of the tension and strain.

Silence your mind. Do not think about anything. Just focus on your breathing; that is a good way to start.

At first, it is going to be tough to clear your mind and think about just one thing. Eventually you will have an easier time to focus.

Focus on your breathing. Maintain a few rounds of deep breaths until you have completely let go of everything.

Stay in this position and after awhile, you can revert back to normal breathing.

At this point, you can now open your eyes and begin to re-engage with your reality. Hopefully, you are now more relaxed and energized to start your day.

Meditation is best done in the morning. You can do this before you begin with your activities and you can do this to properly prepare your mind, body and soul for what lies ahead.

To make sure that you have a clear and open mind that is ready to accept anything, you will need to engage in regular meditation in the day.

A meditation session does not have to be too lengthy for it to be effective. You can try to meditate for five or twenty minutes; or you can meditate for a longer period of time.

It all depends on you. What is most important is that you are able to find a perfect place and a perfect state for you to indulge in a little “me” time.

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
