What is Qi (Chee) Energy?

You are a force of energy and that energy is everywhere. This means that you are a part of everything, and everything is connected to you. This is one of many beliefs in ancient Asian healing practices which focus on balancing your qi (pronounced chee) energy to receive maximum health and wellness benefits.

If you have a hard time wrapping your mind around the thought that you are connected to the universe, you should at least understand how energy flows through your physical and nonphysical bodies.

Qi (sometimes spelled chi or ki) is the name for a Far East concept that attempts to describe the life force or energy flow that moves through all living things.

The website QiEnergyExercises.com does a good job of putting a simple definition on this complex concept by stating ...

"Qi is the Chinese term for life energy, or life spirit, a vital force that flows through all living things."

The Western world is largely in its adolescence when compared to older ancient civilizations and cultures.

In the Western world, most people believe in mental and physical health, and emotions or feelings. Your health and wellness is considered your individual group of characteristics.

Many eastern cultures teach that you are part of a life force energy which has always been present and which will continue existing after your physical body is gone. You are connected rather than alone.

You Can Harness the Power of Qi Whenever You Like

This is qi, and you can consciously work to enhance how positively it fills your life.

There are exercises and lifestyle practices which keep this vital life force energy flowing through and around you, and when this happens, you experience spiritual and physical, emotional and mental fulfillment and achievement.

If this important energy force is blocked somewhere in your metaphysical or physical energy pathways, problems happen.

Just as a traffic jam can totally disrupt your entire day, blocked energy channels can affect your mind and body, spirit and emotions, and not in a positive manner.

Reiki, Reflexology and Acupuncture

There are several energy healing practices which help you remove negative energy and make room for free-flowing life force energy.

Reflexology, acupuncture and Reiki are just three of many energy healing practices which help you develop an abundance of qi.

Some of these practices have been around for thousands of years and can lead to overall health and well-being through the conscious enhancement of your life force energy, or qi.

Attracting Good Vibes Into Your Life

When it comes to energy, we know that when you attract positive energy into your life you have a healthier mind, body, and spirit. But the world can be a pretty negative place.

So how do you attract good vibes into your life in this busy, stressful world? Read on for some tips to attract harmony and positive energy.

Daily Meditation

Meditation is a simple way to attract positive energy. It’s also something you can do quickly, easily, and independently. Take a few moments each day to center yourself, breathe deeply, and calm your mind.

You can also use this time to set an intention for the day that helps you to relax and feel positive. Using guided meditations can help you to get started if you’re new to this practice.

Treat Others with Kindness

It’s true that you get back what you put out into the world. When you are kind to others that allows positive energy to come back to you.

That doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. But each day it’s a good idea to set the intention that you will treat others with respect.

If you have negative feelings toward someone else, it’s a good idea to explore that and work to let those feelings go. Those feelings tend to attract negative energy and make it hard to feel at peace.

Accept What You Can’t Control

A lot of the stress we have in life comes from trying to be in control of situations that we really can’t control. That struggle is exhausting and it’s a no-win situation.

When you’re beginning to notice stressful feelings, try to look objectively at the situation and determine what things are within your control and what things are not.

As the Serenity Prayer says, accept those things that you can’t control and work to change the things that you can.

Live in the Present

Mindfulness is the practice of living in the present. When you spend a lot of time worrying about the future, you attract negative energy into your life.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t think about the future and make plans.

But when you start to feel anxiety over the future, it’s a good idea to connect to the present moment.

For example, right now are you safe? How does your body feel right now?

In most cases anxiety creates irrational fear and when you connect to the present you can feel more relaxed and at peace.
